The Trade Compliance Manager will be instrumental in fortifying the company’s adherence to global trade regulations and optimizing operational efficiencies. Reporting directly to the head of operations and collaborating with a dedicated team, this person will be vital in enhancing the company’s compliance capabilities and ensuring smooth logistics processes.

Focus:

• Ensure compliance with international trade laws across import/export operations.
• Empower the operations team by taking the helm of trade compliance-related communications and decision-making.
• Innovate and recommend software solutions to bolster compliance and operational performance.
• Act as a subject matter expert in logistics, providing insights on global regulations to both clients and internal teams.
• Remain proactive in staying up-to-date on global regulatory changes and ensuring company practices reflect any changes.
• Develop and implement training programs for the operations team to enhance their understanding and execution of compliance procedures.
• Strategize and manage the integration of compliance operations into the broader business objectives, ensuring that regulatory requirements are met without compromising service delivery.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• 2+ of experience in trade compliance, with a strong preference for candidates with a logistics/supply chain background.
• Knowledge of international trade, customs compliance, and IOR/EOR services.
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted operational environment.
• Strong command over compliance software tools and willingness to introduce new technologies.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to advise on new global regulations proactively.
• A dynamic individual who is comfortable with the fluidity that comes with a growing business.
