Our client is a regulated non-profit utility company that provides safe, clean, and reliable energy services to better the lives of the people it serves. To date, they have serviced electricity and water to over 15,000 homes that previously did not have access. They are hiring a Telecom Division Manager to oversee fiber and network operations.
The Telecom Division Manager will be responsible for general network operations, project management, communication of strategy, and leadership of employees. They will be a leader in the company, ensuring excellent customer service and continuous improvement.

Focus:
Oversee end-to-end telecom projects, with a focus on fiber, microwave, data centers, and network operations. Serve as the initial point of contact for the team and clients on all network projects. Manage the approved plans, schedules, and coordination, ensuring successful completion within budget, time, and quality parameters.
Develop and manage project budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting, proactively updating needs based on project requirements. Lead a team within the division, including handling interviewing, onboarding, performance reviews, and ensuring effective operations within the company. Identify and recommend the internal and/or external resources to reach the project goals and manage day-to-day operational aspects and SOPs of projects. Connect and build strong lasting bonds with new and existing clients. Improve and manage operational overhead regularly and discuss solutions with management.
Assists with escalated issues related to projects, networks, and/or clients.
Skill Set
6-10+ years of experience in telecom project management working with fiber networks. 3-5+ years of direct leadership experience.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Telecom, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline. Background understanding of optical transport services, carriers, ethernet, Tier 2/3 networks, data centers, etc. Hands-on experience with 24/7 operational networks. Ability to oversee change management and troubleshoot issues that arise throughout the project life cycle, communicating those changes to clients. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable delivering presentations to C-level executives and high-profile clients.
