Our client is a top nationwide telecom integrator providing structured cabling, in-building DAS and small cell design and implementation. Their highly rated scalable network solutions meet the huge demand for top-quality wireless coverage in large offices buildings, airports, hospitals, stadiums, military projects, and convention centers. They are hiring a Technical PM to manage the construction and engineering phases of contracted projects.
The Technical PM leads structured cabling, in-building DAS, and outdoor small cell projects for mid-size to large venues. With a high degree of influence over wireless projects, they set the stage for success by managing the project effectively from start to finish. They will be deeply involved in their given market from estimating and quoting to design work and site walks.

Focus:
Manage projects from end to end, with a focus on structured cabling, network infrastructure installation, DAS other projects for a variety of venues. Prepare quotes for pricing, RFIs, and proposals. Manage multiple projects, contingent workers, and vendor teams to meet project timelines and prescribed quality standards. Estimate project floor plans and quantities of cabling and network drops. POC for customers within the region. Proactively build and maintain strong customer relationships, maintain consistent communication, and manage customer needs and expectations by meeting project timelines. Work with design team to finalize realistic deadlines, budget, and contract requirements. Advise on special techniques or equipment necessary for project completion. Verify that all necessary permits, municipal approval, and ROW have been obtained. Attend major site visits (bid walk, progress visits, preconstruction walk-throughs, punch walks, and close-out). Provide detailed reports to management at each phase. Keep accurate and up-to-date project records in project tracking system. Survey final project and determine that it has been completed according to contract guidelines. Give feedback to management on price quotes, safety issues, project timelines, potential project challenges, materials, and equipment. Update clients regularly on construction phase and any issues. Work to resolve problems in a timely manner.
Skill Set:
5+ years of project or construction management experience for the telecom/wireless industry, with experience doing large projects for major carriers, MNOs/MVNOs, and integrators. Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification. Degree in engineering or architecture is a strong plus. Strong technical understanding of telecom equipment and wireless technology, especially networking cabling, RF, in-building DAS, and outdoor small cell. Hands-on industry experience with:
Public utilities coordination Project management Sourcing materials and equipment Vendor selection Municipal permits and building codes Able to deliver high-quality large construction projects from end to end. Strong team leadership skills – can effectively manage complex construction teams made up of internal employees, contractors, and external vendors. Strong project estimation/take off skills. Be able to map out floor plans and come up with quantities of cabling and network drops to improve efficiency. Good documentation skills: can put together preconstruction technical proposals, schematics, and use a project tracking system. Project budgeting and contract negotiation skills. Comfortable discussing numbers and technical details with vendors, design firms, contractors, internal teams, and management.
