They are currently seeking a Sr. Test & Development Engineer to join their dynamic team.

This pivotal role will be instrumental in not only enhancing existing testing systems but also in pioneering new methodologies. The objective is to ensure the utmost quality and reliability of their increasingly complex transmission units. This engineer will work closely with multiple departments, playing a key role in maintaining the company’s reputation for quality and innovation.

Focus:

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of transmission dynamometer systems for quality assurance and new product introduction.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to develop feedback systems for error correction and process improvement.
• Conduct research and present findings, contributing to the development and documentation of testing processes.
• Identify areas for improvement in testing methodologies and finished products, making data-driven recommendations.
• Engage in the selection of tools and materials required for the testing process, ensuring optimal outcomes.
• Occasionally travel to multiple facilities to ensure the smooth running of testing systems, especially when machines are down.

Skill Set

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in test and development engineering.
• Experience in the Automotive Industry with dynamometers preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of LabView or similar software, as well as data collection methodologies like encoders, torque cells, and pressure sensors.
• Demonstrated hands-on electrical engineering and troubleshooting experience. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Previous experience in managing teams is highly valued.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be willing to travel occasionally.
