About the Role

A leading global distributor and supply chain innovator is searching for a dynamic Sr. Solutions Architect – SAP Functional, BPT to join its forward-thinking enterprise architecture team. This key position plays a crucial part in driving innovation and modernizing the company’s North American logistics and distribution networks. This position is best suited for a strategic thinker who thrives in complex enterprise environments, brings a deep functional understanding of SAP systems, and can architect modern, scalable solutions in high-volume, automated facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design for strategic initiatives across warehouse, order fulfillment, and yard management domains, leveraging SAP S/4HANA EWM and associated modules.
• Define and maintain domain-level architectural blueprints, roadmaps, and technical documentation (C4 diagrams, data products).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with senior business leaders, technical teams, and product owners to translate complex requirements into scalable architecture.
• Champion architectural best practices across SAP platforms (EWM, SD, MM, BTP), cloud integrations, and warehouse automation technologies.
• Drive continuous innovation through evaluation and adoption of modern architecture patterns including event-driven architecture, microservices, and API-based integrations.
• Influence leadership through clear communication of technical concepts, trade-offs, and strategic impacts.
• Drive technology consistency and best practices by participating in standards development, technical review committees, and company-wide knowledge management.
• Present architecture designs to internal architecture review boards and CIO-level leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture or solutions design, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects in SAP-centric environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), inventory management, and other SAP solutions that optimize supply chain operations.
• Proven ability to design and deliver cloud-hosted SAP solutions (AWS or Azure preferred).
• Background in automated distribution or manufacturing environments processing 100K+ daily orders.
• Experience integrating SAP with non-SAP solutions, including custom services and warehouse automation tech (e.g., RF devices, yard systems, conveyor robotics).
• Skilled in modern design principles: Domain Driven Design, serverless computing, secure APIs, and system resiliency.
• High fluency in process optimization, change impact assessment, and continuous improvement strategies.
• Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence and communicate across technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and its integration suite.
• Understanding of WMS/WES/WCS ecosystems and their coordination in logistics automation.
• Familiarity with real-time analytics, data mesh architecture, and predictive labor management systems.
• Agile delivery experience (Scrum, SAFe), including active participation in sprint reviews and architectural retrospectives.
