They are hiring a Sr. Hardware Design Engineer to lead a cross-functional team, provide hands-on build support, perform component selection and product testing/troubleshooting, and move product through the development cycle from ideation to production.

Focus:
• Develop and document specifications for novel products and systems.
• Select and utilize essential electrical components in alignment with design policies.
• Create, test, and perform root cause analysis on circuit designs.
• Conduct design reviews with cross-functional departments to assess for functionality, reliability, and manufacturability of designs.
• Work with internal departments to build prototypes, engineer functional test plans, implement software/firmware, and install products onsite.
• Generate documentation of finalized designs, including but not limited to schematic diagrams, calculations, equipment lists, and BOMs.
• Ensure product specifications meet regulatory requirements and receive formal approval when necessary.
• Assist in the development of design methodologies and select appropriate tools for department and company-wide use.
• Provide technical support, product cost estimates, and project management support as needed.
Skill Set:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Extensive experience in hardware microprocessor base system and PCB/board-level design.
• Ability to read, interpret, and create drawing systems, change notice systems, multi-level BOMS, and mechanical drawings.
• Recent experience with control systems and/or microprocessor based operating systems.
• Proficiency with various test and measurement equipment such as, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and more.
• Knowledge of domestic and international safety and EMC requirements.
• e., UL, FCC, IEC, CCC, KC, etc.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, USB, EMI, and other methodologies, preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical manufacturing, and mechanical design for electronic assemblies.
• Technical understanding of wireless industry, line voltage, and/or three-phase power systems and communication protocol, a plus.
• Strong technical presentation, documentation, and communication skills.
• Adept in all areas of MS Office.
• Strong analytical skills for complex engineering and product development problems.
