Our client holds a large amount of market share in the drug/pharma formulations field. They work with Fortune 500 companies and household brands to develop winning products that make health more enjoyable. They are looking to hire a Senior Director of Quality Control & Assurance to spearhead quality-centric endeavors.
This role is pivotal in the senior leadership team, collaborating with various business units to foster a culture of quality, excellence, and innovative problem-solving. The individual will be instrumental in ensuring the company’s adherence to all quality and food safety regulations, aiming for continuous improvement and establishing a world-class quality framework.

Focus:
• Ensure alignment with client specifications, organizational quality framework, and all quality and food safety protocols.
• Chart out and execute a departmental blueprint, monitoring and interpreting key metrics.
• Supervise both in-house and external quality system evaluations.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and mentor members of the Quality team, ensuring annual performance metrics are realized.
• Forge collaborations across departments for product introductions and inter-departmental endeavors.
• Engage intensively with operations, supply chain, and logistics factions to amplify product and procedural quality.
• Interface with varied departments to roll out pertinent preventive controls.
• Pinpoint challenges, gather data, and guide solutions, ensuring consistent communication of advancements.
• Establish and sustain a Quality Management Protocol in sync with industry standards.
• Stay abreast of shifts impacting food safety and offer actionable solutions.
• Engage actively in the leadership consortium, encompassing financial planning and personnel strategy discussions.
• Orchestrate and oversee the department’s financial blueprint and related expenditures.
Skill Set:
• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field required. Advanced degree, a plus.
• 15+ years of QA/QC experience in pharmaceutical, food, CPG, or related industry.
• 12+ years of experience in a leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HAACP, GMPs, and other relevant guidelines.
• Prior experience navigating FDA evaluations.
• Adeptness in continuous enhancement methodologies (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma, DFSS).
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, ERP systems, etc.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational development, data analytics, and presentation skills.
• Hands-on experience in contamination oversight is a plus.
• Dual language proficiency in English/Spanish preferred.
