We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Analyst – FP&A to join our client’s finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing FP&A support and assisting with accounting tasks when needed. The role will predominantly focus on FP&A activities, involving corporate financial planning, analysis, and modeling, while also encompassing aspects of traditional accounting and controlling responsibilities.

Focus:

Provide robust FP&A support, working closely with business leaders, product managers, and technology leaders to create accurate financial models that reflect the company’s operations and future growth plans. Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop bottoms-up financial models that capture revenue lines, expense lines, direct and indirect costs, and other crucial financial components. Perform detailed analysis of financial data to provide insights into business performance, trends, and potential areas for improvement.

Contribute to creating accurate and insightful Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) reports to facilitate decision-making and strategic planning. Play a vital role in creating a detailed and comprehensive financial model for the company, focusing on the nuts and bolts of revenue, expenses, and costs. Assume a backfill role for traditional accounting and controlling duties when required, ensuring seamless financial operations in the absence of the controller. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial projections and business objectives. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed to support executive decision-making.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in FP&A and accounting.

Skill Set

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications (CFA, CPA) are a plus. 3-5 years of experience in advancing roles within FP&A, ideally within the realms of technology, data centers, or cloud services.

Strong expertise in corporate financial modeling, understanding financial statements, and constructing MD&A reports. Proficiency in using financial models to forecast business direction, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable strategies. Familiarity with financial software and tools, including QuickBooks for accounting and Excel/Google Sheets for financial modeling and analysis. Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is a plus, as the company is in the process of implementing this platform. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex financial data.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various business units and leadership levels. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A proactive and innovative mindset, with the ability to identify process improvements and drive change.
