Our client is a top road construction organization (primarily asphalt) and aggregate supplier, completing extensive projects throughout the Midwest. They are hiring a Quality Control Technician to join their team and support the safe completion of asphalt and paving construction projects.

Focus:
Engage with private sector clients to participate in the bidding process and fulfil civil contracts. Analyze plans created to gain a clear understanding of the project’s scope and develop detailed bid proposals. Ensure compliance with contract documents, project specifications, and timely completion of work within allocated budgets, while also managing project closure activities. Supply day-to-day project oversight of teams, equipment, and subcontractors involved in an array of projects, including private, commercial, state, and federal projects. Maintain commitment to safety by closely adhering to safety programs and policies, prioritizing the well-being of road construction operations.
Skill Set
1+ years of experience in project/contract management, estimating, or engineering. Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field (civil, construction, etc.) Must be a registered EIT. Background working on asphalt projects in the road construction industry highly preferred. Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, Construction estimating software, and Powerproject. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have ability to interact with external and internal customers and partners in a fast pace, multitasking environment, working independently with a high degree of problem solving. Excellent time management, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
