Our client is a leading manufacturer of building materials, specializing in high-quality structural products. They have consistently achieved success by prioritizing product quality and availability. As they continue to thrive, they are seeking a dedicated QA Assistant Manager to join their team.
As a QA Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Quality department’s operations. Reporting to senior management, you will lead a team of both salaried and hourly employees to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols. Your responsibilities will encompass resource allocation, collaboration with other departments to establish product standards and inspection plans, monitoring of steel suppliers’ performance, and addressing quality-related issues with suppliers and customers. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and facilitate the maintenance of the quality management system.

Focus:
Lead and supervise Quality department personnel, emphasizing safety and excellence. Identify and optimize resource needs for the Quality department. Collaborate across departments to establish product standards and inspection plans. Provide technical support to Sales and Manufacturing teams. Analyze coil and tube failures, preparing management reports.
Enforce Quality Policies company-wide. Conduct system audits to assess quality system adequacy. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and analyze data for system and product enhancements. Must be willing to travel 50%.
Skill Set:
Minimum 5 years of leadership in tube manufacturing, coupled with post-secondary education in materials, manufacturing, or quality systems. Proficiency in quality systems and tools. Excellent communication and technical writing skills, advanced proficiency in statistical analysis, and the ability to interpret blueprints proficiently. Proficiency in using computers, including hands-on experience with SAP, and a deep understanding of HSS
