Python Developer

Our client is a software as a service leader in the medical industry. They are hiring a Python Developer to help create medical imaging software through back-end development and optimization.

The Python Developer will leverage expertise in Python, JavaScript, SQL, and other web technologies to design and develop frameworks for this medical imaging software. They will be responsible for coding and testing within an Agile environment.

Focus:

• Design and develop code for medical imaging software. Build responsive code to ensure scalability, serviceability, and supportability.
• Perform testing and code reviews. Run root cause analysis as needed.
• Define technical requirements, document development, and communicate changes.
• Work in an agile development environment, collaborating with R&D, System Administration, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams.
• Maintain coding and security standards across multiple projects.
• Hands-on development with Ansible, Terraform, and Python scripting languages.
• Determine, develop, and maintain guidelines and coding standard documentation.
• Support change readiness initiatives as needed.

Skill Set:

• 4+ years of experience in software development, engineering, and design in an Agile environment. Emphasis in Python and web development.
• Strong skills in collaboration and communication. Must be able to work with teams and use feedback to the advantage of the final product’s optimization.
• Technical proficiencies:

• Git source code control
• Virtualization tools (Bootstrap, LXC, Docker, Hyper-V, Celery, Skeleton)
• Integration and deployment (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Circle PI)
• Databases (SQL, noSQL, DynamoDB, VoltDB, Apache Cassandra, Hazelcast)
• Programming (NodeJS, Groovy/Java, Python, JavaScript, Shell-scripting)
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
