Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations. This role is essential in ensuring the efficiency and quality of production processes while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Focus:
• Supervise and mentor hourly production employees to achieve operational excellence and maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with various departments including Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Warehouse to ensure smooth operational workflows.
• Lead Lean initiatives to optimize production processes and implement effective visual management tools.
• Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and develop corrective actions.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct training on safe operating procedures for all production staff.
• Monitor production schedules and make adjustments as necessary to meet output goals.
• Conduct investigations into any quality deviations and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain a clean and organized production area, ensuring readiness for plant inspections.
• Communicate effectively with senior management and relay important updates to production teams.
• Manage employee performance, provide feedback, and facilitate conflict resolution as needed.
• Complete necessary documentation related to production activities, including timecards and injury reports.
Skill Set:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Production Supervisor role within the food manufacturing industry.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; degree in Food Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and practices; Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities.
• Proven experience in problem-solving and managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations.
