Our client leads innovation in the power electronics manufacturing space. They are hiring a Principal Design Engineer to design, develop, test, and monitor electrical systems to customers’ specifications.
This individual will be responsible for generating detailed drawings, compiling reports/documentation, and troubleshooting electrical systems. This role will interface with all engineering teams and management to ensure reliability during all phases of a products lifecycle.

Focus:
• Work with a team of engineers to architect, develop, prototype, and test voltage regulator systems.
• Integrate and validate new system designs.
• Monitor and test system performance, troubleshoot as needed and provide statistics and reports to management.
• Support project planning support including developing milestones, generating design verification and test validation plans, and establishing specifications.
• Provide high level oversight to technical and non-technical entities in order to define requirements, guide system roadmaps, and deliver solutions to meet project needs.
• Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and with proper documentation.
Skill Set:
• 6+ years of experience in applications engineering or electrical product development.
• Background in power design and/or analog environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s preferred.
• Proficiency in Printed Circuit Board programs and ability to read/interpret circuit schematics.
• Technical experience with control systems, power systems, and electronics design.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware, electrical, circuitry and equipment.
• Skilled in computer programs like Altium, MATLAB, etc.
• Good verbal/written communication, presentation, and technical documentation skills.
• Demonstrated success in both individual and team-oriented environments.
