Our client is a top manufacturer of packaging materials, offering top-of-the-line, environmentally friendly materials. To maintain their success, they focus on product quality and product availability. They are looking for a dynamic and experienced Plant Operations Manager to oversee their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

As the Plant Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the Blown Film Extrusion operations, ensuring optimal production output, maintaining stringent quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on position and will require someone to be out on the floor much of the day.

Focus:
Oversee plant operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations. Develop strategies for maximizing production efficiency and resource utilization, while minimizing downtime. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing process enhancements and best practices. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and meet customer demands. Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing clear expectations and ongoing coaching. Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with regulations and proactive risk mitigation. Manage production planning, inventory, and quality control processes to meet customer requirements and drive customer satisfaction.
Skill Set:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field. Experience may be acceptable in place of a higher degree. A minimum of 10 years of experience in leading and overseeing Blown Film Extrusion operations, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing Form-Fill-Seal, Stretch Hood, Shrink, PE Film, and BSOM bags, is preferred. Proven experience as a Plant Manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of production management, quality control, and inventory management principles.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively motivate and manage a diverse workforce. Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of driving operational excellence. Proficient in using manufacturing software and ERP systems. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
