Pharmacy Order Entry Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Order Entry Technician to support critical pharmacy operations in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. 🕒 Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Some Saturdays required (minimum 2/month, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter new and refill prescription orders into the pharmacy system.
• File documentation in accordance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Respond to customer inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
• Assist in filling drug kits, ensuring aseptic technique and accuracy.
• Verify alignment between preprinted labels, delivery manifests, and original source documentation.
• Locate medications from supply, count and package using blister packs or vials.
• Pre-package medications based on standard operating procedures.
• Support pharmacy billing workflows and contribute to the efficient operation of billing systems.
• Maintain clean, calibrated equipment and ensure work areas meet safety standards.
• Rotate stock and manage inventory efficiently.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior pharmacy experience with a strong focus on data entry and order processing.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service experience in a healthcare or pharmacy setting.
• Open to a contract role with potential to transition to a full-time opportunity based on performance.
