Orbital Debris Analyst (3 month contract remote)
Our client, a pioneer in the satellite communications industry, is renowned for its innovative solutions that enhance connectivity and technological integration across global markets. As part of their ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation, they are seeking an experienced Orbital Debris Analyst to join their team for a 3 month contract.
The role focuses on the assessment and analysis of orbital debris, contributing to the safety and efficiency of satellite operations. This position is fully remote and requires a deep technical understanding of satellite and spacecraft dynamics.

Focus:
• Conduct comprehensive orbital debris assessments using ORSAT (Object Reentry Survival Analysis Tool) and other debris modeling software.
• Analyze collision probabilities and assess the impact of debris on spacecraft operations and longevity.
• Monitor debris population trends and propose mitigation strategies aligned with industry best practices and international standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including satellite engineers and mission planners, to implement debris mitigation procedures.
• Participate in mission planning and anomaly resolution discussions, contributing debris analysis insights.
• Generate technical reports detailing findings, analysis methodologies, and recommendations to improve satellite safety.
• Stay updated on evolving orbital debris regulations and guidelines, ensuring all analysis and procedures meet compliance standards.
• Support risk assessment during satellite launches and re-entries.
Skill Set:
• A technical degree in a relevant field such as Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of satellites, spacecraft systems, and their operational environments.
• Proficiency in using ORSAT for debris assessment and survival analysis.
• Proven ability to perform collision avoidance and risk assessments for satellite systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to the nature of the work.
