Network IT Administrator

Our client is a leader in the fiber-optic and hosted voice services industry with over 15 years of history providing first-rate internet services. They are hiring a Network IT Administrator to provide technical support for the internal use of hardware and software products. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all Mac/PC hardware and Conference Room equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Focus:

Provide Technical Support to all office staff. Manage and prioritize multiple projects of varying levels of complexity. Provide System Administration to keep networks and servers operating efficiently. Maximize uptime for critical business systems. Ensure IT related issues are resolved in a timely manner, enabling business success.

Maintain Security for all IT related equipment/electronic environment. Upkeep and maintain of network design and infrastructure, server, and IT equipment. Manage desktop and mobile platforms (cell phones, laptops, tablets). Take initiative to identify ways to improve product adoption and performance using creativity and flexibility.

Skill Set:

5+ years of experience in hardware and software IT support roles. Background in sales support in hardware or applicable telco equipment preferred. Associate’s Degree or higher in Computer Information Systems, Business Management, or other related field. Proven experience working with servers, data storage devices, networking equipment, and other hardware, a plus. Knowledge of networking protocols including:

Microsoft O365 / AzureAD (extensive experience required) Fortinet firewall & VPN client LAN/WAN switching and routing Setting up & maintaining platforms including switches, routers, access points, and other network devices Managing VMware environment Familiar with VMware and ESXi Hosts. Able to interpret problems and present clear, actionable solutions to people across a range of departments. Ability to communicate with internal teams as well as customers to resolve ticket and technical issues. Experience with Microsoft Office365.
