Our client provides advanced machining services that benefit various industries including defense, aviation, and medical sectors. They are hiring a Milling Operator to manage milling operating equipment, ensuring best workplace practices and quality products.
The Milling Operator will be responsible for operating milling machines to create products to the specifications of the client. They will also need to be able to conduct adjustments as well as minor repairs to maintain machine operation.
This role has 2 shift options available; 1st shift 7:00am – 3:00pm; and 2nd shift 3:00pm – 10:00pm. The pay ranges from $22.83-28.50 per hour based on experience.

Focus:
Plans machining by studying drawing and specifications. Reads and interprets blueprints. Operates all related conventional equipment for design and building of all products. Work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders, troubleshoot and support other machinists as needed. Reads and understands Mastercam programming. Possess the skillset to run CMM machines and analyze measurements to guarantee that parts are fabricated in accordance with blueprint specifications. Proficient in manual measurement tools like calipers to verify data as needed. Understand and follow all established policies, procedures and recognized practices for safety, health, and quality. Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
Skill Set:
3-5+ years of milling machining experience. High school diploma or equivalent, required. Demonstrated experience operating 3-5 axis CNC mills. Matsuura/Okuma experience highly preferred. Strong programming skills with Mastercam and proficiency in FANUC controls. Proven setup skills with vertical machining centers. Blueprint reading / first piece inspection knowledge. Background in preventative maintenance, root cause analysis, and understanding of best practices. Working knowledge of computer systems. Excellent communication and team skills. Commitment to safety and precision. U.S. citizenship required.
