Our client is a leading healthcare facility dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality medical services to our patients. They are currently seeking a Medical Scheduler to serve as an essential link between their patients and their healthcare needs.
The Medical Scheduler will be at the forefront of their mission, providing meticulous coordination and empathetic communication that upholds their standards of care. Your role will not only facilitate the smooth functioning of the clinic but also ensure that each patient’s journey is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
NOTE: This is an on-site, contract-to-hire role with compensation ranging from $18 – $19 per hour.

Focus:
• Efficiently schedule patient appointments, aligning with the availability of healthcare providers and optimizing facility use.
• Handle appointment confirmations and communications across multiple channels, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain precise patient records in our electronic scheduling system, safeguarding personal information.
• Conduct insurance eligibility checks and pre-appointment preparations to streamline the patient experience.
• Offer comprehensive responses to patient inquiries, detailing our services and pre-visit instructions.
• Collaborate with the medical team to enhance scheduling protocols and resource utilization.
• Contribute to a welcoming and orderly reception area, reflecting the clinic’s commitment to a patient-centered environment.
• Adhere to stringent confidentiality policies, in line with HIPAA regulations, to protect patient privacy.
• Provide exceptional customer service, resolving patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Skill Set
• High school diploma or equivalent, with higher education in healthcare administration a plus.
• Proven background in medical scheduling or administrative roles within a healthcare setting.
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of dermatology-specific terminology and procedures is advantageous.
• Prior experience with insurance processes is highly regarded.
• Resilient and professional under pressure.
