They are hiring a Medical Billing Manager to oversee all aspects of the billing process, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining compliance with relevant policies and procedures. This role will maintain a steady flow of communication, and provide regular training and support to the billing teams.

Focus:
• Oversee all aspects of billing operations across multiple service lines, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
• Foster an environment of continuous learning and development by conducting weekly and bi-weekly meetings, focusing on team performance, skill enhancement, and KPI achievement.
• Effectively plan and manage resources through the maintenance and distribution of comprehensive billing calendars.
• Act as a crucial point of contact during audits, providing necessary billing information and demonstrating adherence to internal controls and procedures.
• Stay abreast of the latest updates and changes in payer bulletins, incorporating this knowledge into the billing process to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
• Proactively participate in processing payer changes, promptly resolving any discrepancies or issues within the billing portal.
• Take responsibility for the reconciliation of unbilled reports, swiftly addressing any missing bill requirements to prevent revenue leakage.
• Uphold the highest standards of accuracy in bill tracking, striving to achieve a 100% assignment rate consistently.
• Advocate for and ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures within the team, fostering a culture of integrity and transparency.
Skill Sets:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a comparable field, supplemented by relevant work experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in healthcare, private insurance, and/or federally funded therapy billing claims.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with financial software programs.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills, enabling the effective transmission of information to both internal team members and external payors.
• Proven leadership and supervisory abilities, with a history of managing successful teams and promoting a positive, productive work environment.
• Solid understanding of HIPAA policies, upholding responsible use of confidential information and fostering a culture of privacy and trust.
• Experience in filing claim appeals with insurance companies to ensure maximum entitled reimbursement
• Ability to multitask and work courteously and respectfully with fellow employees, management, and payers
• Experience in reading and understanding remits (explanation of benefits) for denial reasons
