Our client is a non-profit healthcare facility offering top-notch, quality care within their local community. As directed by the CFO, the Materials Manager is accountable for ensuring adherence to the client’s guidelines for complying with Group Purchasing Contracts. This involves overseeing the supply chain through standardization and consolidation, which leads to decreased costs and staffing requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that materials are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The Materials Director will be a key member of the management team and will work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the organization.

Focus:
Develop and implement materials management policies, procedures, and standards. Manage the purchasing, inventory, and logistics functions to ensure timely delivery of materials. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan inventory levels to meet production needs. Attain and uphold 90% compliance with Group Procurement Contracts. Monitor and report on inventory levels, production schedules, and delivery performance.
Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms. Accountable for ensuring adherence to all reporting and reviewing obligations (i.e. monthly reports, internal audits, operating room and emergency room inventory levels, etc.). Identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs while maintaining high levels of customer service. Provide leadership and direction to the materials management team to ensure goals and objectives are met. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to materials management.
Skill Sets:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in materials management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of materials management principles, practices, and procedures. Proven ability to develop and implement materials management strategies that align with organizational goals. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management software, and other materials management tools.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
