Our client is an industry leader in pursuit of manufacturing excellence within the automotive space. As they continue to push the boundaries of excellence, they are in search of a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to enhance the quality and efficiency of manufacturing methods within their designated production vertical.
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will play a key role in providing technical support to operations, addressing a myriad of engineering-related tasks, and ensuring that production processes are streamlined and optimized. Their expertise will be crucial in reviewing and refining workflows, ensuring compliance with inspection processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.

Focus:
Provide essential technical support addressing various engineering tasks, including addressing machine downtimes, product challenges, and quality assessments. Act as the primary responder for safety concerns, quality troubleshooting, and production efficiency enhancements. Ensure rigorous inspection processes are followed and validate all units exiting the production vertical for procedural compliance. Evaluate and potentially refine workflows, routings, floor layouts, material handling processes, testing equipment, and machine utilization. Collaborate with production and manufacturing engineers, offering support on diverse tasks.
Inspect sub-assemblies and finished products before they exit the production cell. Design and conduct experiments, manage technical data, and ensure its accurate representation and analysis. Assist in the development and execution of manufacturing engineering process modifications and design changes. Troubleshoot and enhance processes, involving the repair, modification, and testing of various devices, assemblies, and production machinery. Uphold process controls to ensure equipment and operations align with design specifications.
Skill Set
Demonstrated ability to support production and manufacturing engineering tasks, ensuring processes are efficient and meet quality standards. Hands-on experience or knowledge in machine controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and CNC operations. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, ERP systems, and other related software/technologies.
Experience or familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles preferred. Proactive mindset geared towards identifying areas of improvement and optimizing production processes. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at conveying complex technical information.
