Lighting Western Regional Sales Manager
About the Opportunity:
An award-winning lighting manufacturer is seeking a high-energy, design-savvy sales manager to own and expand its presence across the Western U.S. This is a pivotal role in a globally recognized company known for fusing high-end aesthetics with cutting-edge solutions. This position offers a unique chance to lead strategic relationships, drive revenue through the specification channel, and shape the next era of lighting design.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead business development and account management efforts across the Western U.S. territory, with a strong focus on the Los Angeles and broader California market.
Act as the primary liaison for architectural and design firms, lighting designers, and procurement companies involved in high-end commercial, hospitality, and residential projects.
Manage and collaborate with an established network of manufacturer rep agencies.
Travel regularly to key markets to build market presence, attend client meetings, and conduct visits with design professionals.
Develop and monitor territory coverage, ensuring optimal rep alignment and support.
Partner closely with internal teams to drive margin-focused pricing, quoting, and discount strategy based on project specifications.
Report directly to the VP of Sales,
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Based in or near Los Angeles, Orange County, or Greater Southern California.
5–7+ years of experience in the lighting industry, preferably with design-forward lighting manufacturer.
Strong background in specification sales, particularly within architectural and design channels.
Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles from concept to close, including project tracking and pipeline management.
Experience working with or within a lighting rep agency.
Naturally proactive, persuasive, and energized by building new client relationships.
Technically fluent but motivated by design excellence.
