They are hiring a Lead Technical Accountant to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting within the company.
The Lead Technical Accountant is responsible for delivering sound financial advice and setting goals for the accounting team’s activities. As a team, they will be fully responsible for monthly close activities, quarterly analysis, financial reporting, budget setting, and related accounting activities.

Focus:
Manage accounting function to run operations including monthly and year-end close process. Prepare financial reports, consolidated financial statements, budget forecasts, and expense reports. Make appropriate recommendations to executive management. Responsible for the data analysis and accounting of the company’s product and lease portfolios. Support process optimization initiatives through the use of technical accounting applications and processes. Suggest new processes for company use as needed. Ensure adherence to GAAP best practices, government regulations, and proper tax procedure nationally. Partner cross functionally with internal teams to understand improvements needed to create better efficiency and greater cost-benefit. Help develop improved business processes and support internal controls using continuous improvement methodologies.
Skill Set:
Minimum of 4 years accounting experience, OR equivalent experience with Big 4 in addition to accounting rotational with CMA/CPA, required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance is required. Background in revenue recognition and/or lease accounting. Proficiency with accounting software; (Hyperion, and Blackline knowledge is a plus). Strong knowledge of GAAP standards and regulations. Firm understanding of accounting best practices and procedures. Detail oriented with strong analytical, time management, and collaboration skills. Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
