The Labor & Employment Associate will play a crucial role in providing legal counsel and representation on a wide spectrum of employment-related matters. Focus:

• Handle a broad range of employment issues, including single-plaintiff employment litigation such as workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination lawsuits.
• Manage class action and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) cases, utilizing expertise to provide effective legal strategies and solutions.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and motions with precision and attention to detail.
• Argue motions before courts, utilizing strong advocacy skills to represent the client’s interests effectively.
• Participate in the deposition process, both taking and defending depositions, while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
• Conduct administrative hearings and proceedings, leveraging knowledge and experience to secure favorable outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide proactive legal advice and guidance.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant labor and employment laws and industry trends to ensure compliance and deliver strategic insights to the team.

Skill Set

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a proven track record of handling complex employment litigation matters.
• Demonstrated expertise in workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination lawsuits.
• Strong experience with class action and PAGA cases, including formulating effective legal strategies.
• Proficient in drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and other legal documents.
• Excellent oral advocacy skills, with experience arguing motions and participating in administrative hearings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with acute attention to detail.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate legal issues and provide preemptive guidance.
• Prior experience in the energy industry or related sectors is a plus.
