They are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Key Shop Technician to support operations both on-site and in-shop. The Key Shop Technician serves as a key player in maintaining and executing client keying needs. The role supports internal and external teams through timely work order fulfillment, customer education, and field support for installations and troubleshooting. Operating in a blended environment of shop-based tasks and field assignments, this individual ensures that client expectations are consistently exceeded through expert-level service and communication.

Focus:
Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries regarding keying and lock hardware solutions via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Manage work orders, purchase orders, and inventory logistics using ERP and order management software.
Handle keying tasks including rekeys, troubleshooting, hardware installations, and adjustments—both in-shop and at client locations.
Provide responsive on-site support for scheduled and emergency service calls during business hours.
Advise clients and sales team members on the best product options for specific keying applications.
Maintain records of customer transactions, service issues, and technical feedback in internal systems.
Support the preparation of merchandise quotes, orders, and customer billing tasks.
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes related to keying services.
Stay current with hardware trends and standards by participating in ongoing training and product education.
Skill Set:
Prior experience in commercial locksmithing or door hardware service (basic locksmithing required, advanced skill preferred).
Familiarity with major keying systems including brands such as BEST, Schlage, Medeco, Yale, or Falcon.
Ability to work efficiently in both structured and fast-paced environments, with strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP tools such as Promaster or Comsense is a plus.
Clear and effective verbal and written communication.
A proactive and team-oriented mindset with a customer-first attitude.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required for field service travel.
Must pass background check and drug screening.
