As the industry experiences exponential expansion and heightened demand, our client seeks to onboard an adept Insurance Associate to complement their team.
The Insurance Associate will play a pivotal role in offering specialized legal expertise to support our client’s mission. This role involves conducting thorough research, analyzing complex fact patterns, and delivering comprehensive coverage assessments in articulate written formats, including legal briefs. Current licensure to practice law in the State of California is a prerequisite, while licenses in additional states will be considered advantageous.

Focus:
• Conduct in-depth research to comprehend intricate fact patterns related to insurance and reinsurance matters within the construction domain.
• Analyze complex coverage scenarios to provide comprehensive and precise written coverage analyses.
• Synthesize research findings into coherent, organized, and concise written formats, including legal briefs.
• Collaborate closely with the legal team to formulate effective legal strategies and solutions.
• Engage in critical thinking to identify potential risks and opportunities while assessing the implications of legal decisions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, legislative changes, and case law developments affecting insurance and reinsurance in the construction sector.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to insurance and reinsurance matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing expert insights and recommendations tailored to their unique needs.
Skill Set
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active and valid license to practice law in the State of California. Additional licenses in other jurisdictions are considered a plus.
• Proficiency in conducting thorough legal research and analyzing complex fact patterns.
• Exceptional written communication skills, demonstrated through the ability to compose clear, structured, and persuasive legal briefs.
• Keen attention to detail and the capacity to think critically and analytically.
• Strong organizational skills to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
• Prior exposure to insurance and reinsurance law, energy projects, or related fields is advantageous.
• Commitment to staying updated with legal developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.
