Our client, a leading non-profit healthcare system in New Jersey, is looking to add an Infection Control & Prevention Director to develop and manage their Infection Control & Prevention program. They will use data analysis and leadership skills to evaluate and report infectious risks in patients.

Focus:
• Provide leadership and expert consultation on the design, development, and implementation of programs related to infection prevention.
• Lead and manage multiple large-scale performance improvement efforts designed to facilitate key initiatives related to Patient Safety and Infection Prevention and Control.
• Develop and evaluate/revise surveillance plans and programs based on populations served, services provided, type of facility and previous surveillance data.
• Address risks associated with the acquisition and transmission of infectious agents and establishes performance improvement.
• Oversee objectives related to patient safety, quality improvement, and cost effective product utilization across the hospital.
• Lead and assign staff to projects and manage the hiring and onboarding processes.
• Communicate infection prevention information, updates, and data findings to appropriate executives and team members across the network.
• Manage and implement strong organizational process for reporting and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory local, state, and federal requirements and accreditation.
Skill Set:
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a healthcare/clinical environment.
• 3+ years of experience in infection prevention and control.
• Bachelor’s degree in related science field, required.
• Must be certified in infection control and prevention.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing direct reports.
• Knowledge of best practices for HIPAA, consent, GCP, FDA, SOP, safety monitoring, and others.
• Commitment to helping others, while displaying a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and data analysis skills.
