This client is a prominent figure in the industry. They serve a diverse range of sectors including luxury residential, hospitality, commercial, and institutional markets. They are currently in search of a Head of Lighting Design to bolster their innovative team.

This individual will be responsible for crafting distinctive lighting specifications, developing conceptual designs, and producing detailed visualizations to communicate these concepts. Focus:

• Direct lighting initiatives from conceptualization to completed construction deliverables.
• Manage a team of direct reports on the design team, acting as the SME for all technical and design related questions.
• Design and communicate advanced lighting ideas to potential clients.
• Engage with architects, property stakeholders, and design professionals.
• Perform in-depth evaluations for lighting levels and compliance with energy guidelines.
• Use specialized design applications, especially Revit and AutoCAD.
• Advise clients on environment-friendly lighting methods and control systems.
• Manage field activities, from light tuning, submission evaluations, to RFIs during construction.
• Organize and align lighting display samples for project participants.

Skill Set:

• Degree in architectural studies, lighting specialization, or a similar discipline.
• 5+ years in the lighting design space, having directed significant initiatives.
• Must have a background managing and leading a team of direct reports.
• Comprehensive expertise in tools like Revit, AutoCAD, MS Suite, and lighting-specific software.
• Deep understanding of LED tech and its application processes.
• Outstanding ability to communicate, both in person and digitally.
• Awareness of eco-centric lighting practices and energy directives.
• Familiarity with recognized certifications such as LEED and WELL Building Framework.
• Track record in managing tasks and formulating project briefs.
• Knowledge in sustainable illumination practices.
• Aptitude in guiding projects and fostering team synergy.
