With substantial funding and a clear path to commercialization, our client is seeking a talented Fungal Growth Scientist to contribute their expertise to this groundbreaking endeavor. As a Fungal Growth Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in the scaling of bioprocesses and fungal growth strategies.

Focus:

• Develop and implement strategies for the successful scale-up of bioprocesses and fungal growth from lab to pilot and commercial production levels.
• Plan, execute, monitor, and report on all bioprocess scale-up and fungal growth R&D projects. Ensure projects are on time, on plan, and within budget. Effectively communicate any deviations or challenges.
• Develop quantifiable processes and metrics to track growth projects. Establish leading and lagging indicators that align with project milestone KPIs. Communicate key findings and anticipated challenges to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with lead scientists on critical R&D projects, supporting design and analysis efforts vital for product launch.
• Contribute to the design and planning of the new pilot commercial facility. Coordinate equipment procurement and lab layout for optimal functionality. Oversee necessary improvements across the R&D process.

Skill Set:

• 4+ Years of Fungal Expertise in filamentous fungal growth processes, demonstrated through hands-on experience.
• Proven track record of working with bioprocessing and bioreactors. Ability to devise strategies for transitioning from benchtop to commercial scale production.
• Proficiency in process mapping and experimental design methodologies.
• Ability to derive insights from processed data and create meaningful data visualizations to drive decision-making.
• Comfortable working independently in fast-paced startup environments.
• Systematic, methodical, and accurate approach to project management.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with large dataset analytics and predictive modeling techniques would be advantageous.
