They are hiring a Director of Patient Access to oversee the financial clearance process, ensuring accurate verification of insurance coverage and benefits, obtaining necessary authorizations, and providing excellent customer service. This role will develop and implement policies and procedures for financial clearance, monitor metrics, and collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Focus:
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the financial clearance process in accordance with governmental and hospital policies.
• Manage a team of financial clearance specialists, providing training and support as needed.
• Ensure accurate and timely verification of insurance coverage and benefits for all patients.
• Develop and implement streamlined processes and communication across Patient Access Services and other Revenue Cycle departments to improve registration accuracy and increased revenue collected.
• Achieve quality audit scores of >98%, collect identified opportunity of >65%, and achieve productivity of 100% of total volume
• Monitor and report on financial clearance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience, from financial clearance through treatment and billing.
Skill Sets:
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in patient access, revenue cycle, and/or financial clearance.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of building and managing successful teams.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to patients, staff, and payers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
