Director of Operations – RF, Wireless, 5G

A national leader in wireless infrastructure is seeking a seasoned operational executive to guide the strategic growth and field deployment of its network buildout initiatives across the U.S. With major programs underway supporting 5G/6G rollouts and a workforce of internal and subcontracted crews, this role is vital to optimizing delivery and scaling operations for a high-impact telecom organization.

This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on operations leader with a deep background in wireless, tower, or RF construction services to step into a high-visibility role with direct access to executive leadership. The organization has aggressive expansion goals and is looking for someone ready to take ownership and drive change.

Focus:

Oversee daily operations across multiple service lines including RF engineering, tower construction, fiber installation, and DAS deployment.

Build scalable internal systems and lead standardization of field operations across multiple U.S. regions.

Hire, train, and mentor a growing team of mid-level operational leaders to support expanding programs.

Implement KPIs, operational dashboards, and process improvements for performance, safety, logistics, and vendor coordination.

Engage directly with client stakeholders to manage expectations, escalate issues, and communicate key project updates.

Lead strategic execution on buildouts for high-profile clients in wireless, aerospace, and satellite services.

Drive procurement strategies and vendor partnerships in alignment with quality and delivery goals.

Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and executive leadership, with a long-term path to C-level advancement.

Skill Set:

10+ years of progressive leadership in operations within wireless telecom, construction services, or field infrastructure.

Strong knowledge of wireless network deployment (macrocell, small cell, RF design, fiber, DAS, and tower crews).

Proven success scaling field operations, particularly across multiple geographies.

Experience managing large subcontractor networks, implementing SOPs, and overseeing compliance and safety initiatives.

High emotional intelligence with a collaborative and humble leadership style.

Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and constructively.
