Director of Operations – Broadband, Telecom

Our client is a seasoned industry leader with expertise in providing innovative telecom and electrical solutions to the customers and vendors they serve. Due to expanding market share and rapid company growth, they are looking to hire a Director of Operations to oversee their broadband division.

The Director of Operations – Broadband, Telecom will lead network engineers by driving the divisions overall strategy and processes. They will manage nationwide network expansion while ensuring customers are receiving best in class service and solutions. Focus:

• Responsibility over all aspects of broadband projects from a daily operations perspective.
• Manage and cultivate high-level relationships including vendors, contractors, suppliers, accounts, carriers, and more.
• Operational responsibilities include P&L, budget creation and enforcement, scheduling, delivery, and team/talent development. Respond to RFPs.
• Ensure project delivery meets design specifications and compliance.
• Propose and maintain annual budgets to ensure profitability while providing proper documentation and reporting throughout the year.
• Define scope and goals, set and track milestones, assign team priorities, and report regularly to executive management.
• Manage company traffic with correct policies, ensuring customers receive outstanding service.
• Provide strong top-down support, including teambuilding, individual development, relationship building, team cohesion, and leadership organization.
• Organize proper trainings for employees and ensure safety standards and production compliance is met.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or Engineering; MBA preferred with management or technical specialization.
• 5-10+ years of experience with P&L management, operations oversight, and related responsibility.
• In-depth industry experience in telecom or wireless projects.
• Expertise in budgeting, pricing, P&L, impact analysis, and capital budget management.
• Experience managing teams at the executive level.
• Strong technical understanding of telecom/wireless technology, especially broadband.
• Ability to lead presentations, deliver value props, and communicate technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
