Our client is an international leader in the manufacturing of electronic components. They are hiring a Corporate Controller to guide and manage the company’s financial reporting and planning and help lead day-to-day accounting functions.
The Corporate Controller will be responsible for conducting month-end reports and budget analysis, as well as overseeing process improvements and system implementations. This person should be adept at learning new systems, programs, and applications.

Focus:
• Implement and maintain approved accounting practices throughout the organization, ensuring financial reports accurately reflect the business’s condition and provide reliable information for operational control.
• Supervise the accounting and finance team, fostering optimal efficiency through training, motivation, and direction. Set specific goals and productivity targets.
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of all accounting ledgers, plant, corporate reports, and other financial reports.
• Accurately classify all expenditures, including capital and others.
• Regularly review inventory control and reporting procedures to guarantee the accuracy of inventory records and manufacturing costs.
• Ensure the timely preparation of departmental reports, maintaining effective communication with the company’s independent auditors and all taxing authority auditors.
• Conduct special accounting studies, analyses, cost studies, and provide actionable recommendations for cost reductions and profit improvements.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP best practices, government regulations, and proper tax procedure nationally.
Skill Set:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA, CMA, or an MBA are preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in financial management or accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience within a manufacturing environment a plus.
• Proven track record in establishing and improving internal controls.
• Excellent communication, management, and leadership skills
• Understanding of GAAP and best practice international accounting policies.
• Expert knowledge of MS Excel and other accounting software.
