The Construction Manager – DAS, Small Cell, 4G/5G is pivotal in overseeing pre-construction activities, construction/implementation, system commissioning/integration, and project closeout of wireless in-building networks. This role is charged with maintaining the project’s integrity in various areas, including safety, quality, finances, scheduling, and communication.

Focus:

Oversee all project stages for wireless in-building networks, from design verification to closeout, while maintaining comprehensive cloud-based project documentation. Identify and navigate project dependencies, manage resources effectively, and formulate project schedules and safety plans. Conduct regular team/stakeholder meetings and site visits, collaborating with the Purchasing Department for material/equipment procurement. Provide consistent project updates, monitor financial health, and proactively manage project scope changes and potential issues. Ensure the highest standards of installation quality, manage project deliverables, and oversee post-construction activities. Mentor and supervise project team members and subcontractors, nurturing essential business relationships and continuously improving project management practices. Manage bid documents, invoicing, subcontracting, and purchasing for projects. Attend in-person or virtual team/stakeholder meetings and conduct site visits as needed. Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Skill Set:

5+ years of wireless/telecom/construction project management experience and strong technical background. Bachelor’s degree and proven experience required in construction management within a related field: DAS, Electrical, Public Safety, Telecommunication, Structured Cabling, etc. Firm industry understanding and background with DAS, 5G, in-building, and testing (PIM, Sweep, CW). Ability to read and understand construction design plans and specifications, preferably in iBwave and/or Visio. Proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project). Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Entrepreneurial spirit with a self-starter mentality and ability to work independently and in team environments. Must be able to travel within region and have an active/valid drivers’ license. Demonstrated customer-facing skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
