Our client is an established company specializing in concrete restorations and installations. They are currently seeking to hire a Construction Commercial Estimator to support their growing commercial project needs.
The Construction Commercial Estimator will be responsible for collecting and analyzing information from commercial leads, estimating costs, presenting competitive bids, and supporting the overall project scope as needed. They will also play a crucial role in creating materials lists and preparing change orders.

Focus:
Conduct comprehensive cost estimation and analysis for commercial construction projects, focusing on masonry and concrete aspects. Collaborate with project teams to gather necessary information and review project specifications and drawings. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Assess project risks, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide value engineering recommendations. Conduct regular on-site inspections to oversee and verify the quality and precision of work on commercial construction sites, including coordinating walkthroughs with foremen and crews to ensure clarity of project scope. Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely procurement of materials and services. Particip ate in bid and proposal preparation, including the review of contractual terms and conditions. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, providing ongoing cost analysis and forecasting.
Skill Set
10+ years of hands-on experience in the masonry and concrete construction industry. Demonstrated leadership background with 5+ years of experience managing teams. Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards, with an OSHA 10 certification required. In-depth knowledge of the concrete/masonry trade and industry methods for scheduling, bidding, estimating, contracting, cost reporting, safety, and quality. Technical skills and proficiency in basic computer software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have ability to interact with external and internal customers and partners in a fast pace, multitasking environment, working independently with a high degree of problem solving. Ability to operate standard mechanical equipment if needed. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be comfortable with frequent travel.
