Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a skilled Commercial Estimator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in estimating large-scale commercial projects and a deep understanding of various construction systems and disciplines. To succeed in this position, you must be well-versed in cutting-edge digital tools and possess a high level of technical savvy to provide precise and detailed financial analyses throughout every phase of a project’s lifecycle

Focus:

• Develop comprehensive financial projections for complex commercial ventures with price tags exceeding $100 million, providing a meticulous breakdown of expenses and expenditures.
• Conduct thorough analysis and assessment of all construction systems and disciplines, including mechanical and electrical components, to produce complete and accurate estimates.
• Develop estimates for various project phases, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents.
• Empower estimating processes with sophisticated technology platforms, including Destini Estimator, BlueBeam, and Assemble, to optimize performance, amplify precision, and unlock new levels of efficiency in cost evaluation and project planning.
• Apply a strong understanding of self-performed concrete construction to accurately forecast costs and resource requirements.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure all estimates align with project specifications and objectives.
• Remain at the forefront of industry advancements by actively embracing emerging innovations, cutting-edge tools, and best practices, ensuring a perpetual refinement of estimation methodologies and a consistent enhancement of delivery speed and precision.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in estimating large commercial projects ($100M+), with a strong track record in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating.
• Possess a broad and deep understanding of the entire construction ecosystem, encompassing all building systems and specialties, including M/E/P (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing), to autonomously develop detailed and holistic cost projections that capture the full scope of project requirements.
• Proficient in self-performed concrete construction estimating.
• Experience in estimating at all design stages: conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents.
• Exhibit a high level of technical aptitude and hands-on expertise with modern cost analysis platforms and digital tools, ensuring seamless navigation and maximized utility of the latest estimation solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
