Charge Posting & Edit Operations Coordinator

This organization is seeking dedicated and skilled Operations Coordinator who will play a vital role in supporting the mission, vision, and values of the company by adhering to established ethics, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements. This position serves as a subject matter expert, ensuring operational excellence in charge posting, edits, and coding functions. The Coordinator is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, overseeing staff assignments, maintaining compliance with state and federal standards, and facilitating process improvements.
This is a 100% remote position.

Oversee compliance-related activities and collaborate with internal and external partners to address coding issues effectively.
Play an active role in organizational initiatives, ensuring that all coding operations align with best practices and compliance standards.
Focus:
Oversee daily operations and optimize workflows for efficiency.
Monitor performance, provide feedback, and analyze data for strategic decisions.
Train, mentor, and onboard team members while fostering collaboration.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and maintain productivity reports.
Address coding-related risks and updating departmental policies.
Collaborate with teams and experts to improve system workflows and efficiency.
Coordinate projects, testing, training, and stakeholder issue resolution.
Manage schedules, time-off requests, payroll accuracy, and team resources.
Skill Set:
Professional certification such as RHIT, RHIA, or CCS.
Minimum of 5 years of coding experience in an acute care environment.
Proven leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to function independently in a dynamic environment.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
At least 7 years of experience in coding within an acute care setting.
