Our client is a global leader in their field, supplying safety and industrial products to customers across the country. They are hiring a Business Development Manager to lead the sales team in attaining new accounts.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and qualifying inbound leads to build a pipeline of potential customers. They will work closely with Account Managers and Inside Sales to align client business needs to close sales opportunities.

Focus:
Identify businesses as prospects and translate their business goals into meaningful business opportunities. Lead qualification calls to determine which solution is the best fit for the prospect. Generate high volume of contact with potential accounts through phone and email conversations. Hit outreach activity metrics using different channels of communication. Work closely with Account Managers to facilitate a smooth hand-off from early qualification to close.
Provide world-class prospect and customer experience through every interaction. Become a product expert and learn their selling practices. Keep meticulous records of interactions with leads in CRM systems.
Skill Set:
2+ years of sales or business development experience. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Equivalent experience (5+ years) accepted in lieu of a degree. Background in industrial distribution or safety products preferred. Proven success in cold calling, building relationships, and meeting sales quotas. Hunter mentality, with the ability to create lasting relationships and impact.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively manage tasks. CRM experience – Salesforce or related, a plus. Ability to hunt on the road up to 50% and travel to conferences. Proficiency in French beneficial.
