Billing Specialist

Our client is a leader in accessible health solutions for local communities. With new projects on the horizon, they are hiring a Billing Specialist to support billing department operations including sorting inbound correspondence, filing documentation, and verifying quality and accuracy of files.

The Billing Specialist will serve as the liaison between healthcare members and county office representatives in responding to requests for inquiries or requests for information.

Focus:

• Support billing department operations including sorting inbound correspondence, filing documentation, and verifying quality and accuracy of files.
• Process and document member premium inquiry requests.
• Communicate with County Office Representatives and Regional Service Representatives regarding member questions.
• Review various daily, weekly, and monthly reports and enter data into computer applications/systems.
• Assess and approve daily print vendor files.
• Perform courier runs between the company locations and local governmental offices.
• Assist with premium refund requests and special projects as needed.

Skill Set:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of accounts receivable and/or collections preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and other similar computer systems.
• Proven ability to ensure customer satisfaction and appropriately handle escalations.
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and writing skills.
• Strong organizational skills with an analytical mindset.
