Our client is a prominent financial institution, serving customers throughout the Midwest. To support their growth, they are hiring an AVP of Insurance Planning to determine the insurance strategy and renewal process as well as manage the overall client relationship building credibility and trust.
The AVP of Insurance Planning will lead complex client engagements from ongoing engagement, project scope definition to project management, delivery, and presentation

Focus:
Responsible for structuring a client project/problem into phases and questions, hypothesis testing, story building and deliverable production. Lead problem solving sessions with internal/external clients to develop processes, methodologies, and transition strategies that will guide them to the objective future state. Lead the identification and communication of recommendations to clients. Oversee the implementation and execution of strategic recommendations.
Work towards selling client engagements through ongoing relationship and delivery of strategic initiatives. Work in a collaborative environment with clients and colleagues. Challenge the status quo and internal processes to identify opportunities to work more efficiently. Stay up to date with current economic and insurance industry trends. Support and lead additional function (talent, data, operations, etc.) in support of my client’s growth including data management, operations, compliance, etc.
Up to 15% travel.
Skill Set:
7-10+ years of experience in account management, in insurance or in consulting within the financial/banking vertical. Proven Client engagement experience and stakeholder management.
Ability to network, engage with and influence all levels of stakeholders (both internal and external). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in a collaborative and client focused manner. Ability to prioritize, plan and execute to strict deadlines Proven team player with the ability to leverage the knowledge of those around you.
Fluency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint and Excel) and CRMs. Knowledge of ALM, Tableau, Bloomberg software preferred. Understanding of applicable industry laws/regulations as well as products/services related to insurance banking. Bachelor’s degree in related field required, MBA and/or CFA is preferred.
