Our client is a leader in the public accounting space with over 6 decades of success. They are looking to add a member to the team and are hiring an Assurance Associate to be responsible for public accounting audits.
The Assurance Associate will assist in documentation and compliance, alongside the audit team. In addition to audit engagement, they will review internal controls, conduct risk assessments, and support audit procedure improvement.

Focus:
Conduct financial and operational audits nationwide, identifying and correcting compliance issues, documentation shortfalls, and inefficiencies. Plan engagements and meet with client team leaders and other stakeholders to develop a plan and adhere to project budget from account to account – managing different audits every week. Identify risks and assist teams to develop improved controls and procedures. Prepare financial reports, financial statements, and financial analysis to assist teams in assessing risk and financial strategy decisions. Review and improve existing audit procedures. Assist with investigations and other in-depth audits. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, US GAAP, and other relevant federal/state regulations. Maintain excellent documentation for all activities.
Skill Set:
2+ years of previous public accounting/audit experience required. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting. Must have hourly qualification for CPA license. Strong understanding of GAAP auditing/accounting standards. Proficiency with accounting software (Microsoft Excel, Acrobat, QuickBooks). Background working with nonprofit organizations, a plus. Proven ability to consistently deliver assignments on time. Excellent communication skills; strong attention to detail and process.
