They are looking to hire an Accounting Manager to ensure financial accuracy and organization, as well as lead the purchasing department and manage a team of direct reports.
The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the organization’s finances and overseeing cost analysis. With their keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, they will be responsible for tasks such as performing monthly close processes, reconciling accounts, assisting in audits, and preparing financial statements. Their contributions will be vital in maintaining the financial integrity of the company and supporting its continued growth.

Focus:
Oversee monthly close processes and financial statement preparation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules, ensuring all relevant data is accurately recorded and classified. Review financial statements to detect discrepancies and handle inter-company transactions, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Assist in annual audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and legal regulations while coordinating with external auditors. Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, maintaining financial accuracy. Contribute to accounts receivable collections and customer account reconciliations, efficiently and accurately managing all transactions. Conduct cost analysis to identify opportunities for financial optimization and to support decision-making processes. Directly manage a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Skill Set:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 3+ years of public accounting experience is preferred. Previous experience in managing teams, particularly within a finance or accounting setting.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Netsuite, Salesforce.com, AccountingSeed, and Sage Intacct is highly valued. Demonstrated ability to stay organized and maintain a high level of attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and succinctly. Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities. Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for data manipulation and comparison.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas, is a must. Willingness to reside near or commute to Terre Haute, IN.
