Our client, a frontrunner in the engineering and manufacturing sector, is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Manager. This crucial position, central to the organization’s financial operations, focuses on overseeing general accounting and month-end processes. This role will support all US entities, leveraging expertise in financial management and operational excellence within a dynamic work environment.

The Accounting Manager will spearhead formulating and implementing financial strategies and practices. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the company’s financial integrity and efficiency.

Focus:

• Lead the team in month-end processing and reporting, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and update detailed accounting records and files, ensuring thorough documentation.
• Manage the asset invoicing process, liaising with various internal teams for seamless operations.
• Play a significant role in asset reconciliation and reporting, upholding meticulous management standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting practices and processes.
• Provide backup support for AR/AP functions and manage reporting from expense reimbursement software.
• Participate in and contribute to regular audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy across all financial statements.
• Assist in the transition from GP to SAP, ensuring effective post-implementation maintenance and improvements.
• Ensure financial operations align with organizational goals and support strategic decision-making.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of accounting and/or finance experience, with 3+ years in a managerial capacity.
• Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and its applications.
• Preferred experience in engineering, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and adept at navigating various technological tools.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
• Ability to travel as needed.
