Accountant

They are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join their finance team. The Accountant will play a crucial role in managing daily accounting and financial tasks, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Focus:

• Maintain financial transaction records by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring compliance.
• Establish and manage accounts using QuickBooks (online & desktop).
• Maintain subsidiary accounts by posting, verifying, and allocating transactions.
• Reconcile entries to balance subsidiary accounts and maintain a balanced general ledger.
• Prepare trial balances and financial reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
• Assist with financial activities including payroll processing and invoice generation.
• Assisting with daily sales/cash forecasting reporting and reconciliation.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Previous bookkeeping experience is required.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks software and familiarity with spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis tools.
• General understanding of accounting principles, such as accruals and revenue recognition.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
