Accountant

Our client is a leading OEM for telecom/wireless hardware and equipment, including RF components, networking equipment, chipsets, wireless, and IoT/M2M applications. Their extensive product line is sought after by major carriers, neutral hosts, system integrators, and more. They are hiring an Accountant to support accounting operations and financial reporting within the company.

The Accountant be responsible for assigned general ledger tasks to support month-end close, AR/AP, payroll, customer invoicing, and account reconciliations. This position will play a key role in guiding the accounting department as the company grows.

Focus:

• Support accounting activities and documentation including general ledger reconciliation, tax filings, journal entries, account reconciliation, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly and year-end close process.
• Assist with monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring all major deadlines are met.
• Prepare financial reports, consolidated financial statements, budget forecasts, and expense reports.
• Support process optimization initiatives through the use of technical accounting applications and processes.
• Gather and map financial data, pull relevant statistics and metrics, and present monthly reports on KPIs.
• Partner cross functionally with internal teams to understand improvements needed to create better efficiency and greater cost-benefit.
• Support internal controls and auditing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP best practices, government regulations, and proper tax procedure nationally.

Skill Set

• 2+ years of related accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field.
• Understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and business-case reporting.
• Industry experience in wireless, telecom, or hardware, a plus.
• Understanding of GAAP, IFRS, SEC, and best practice international accounting policies.
• Proficiency with Excel, and other accounting software.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. Can multitask with ease.
